Melinda Schneider returns to the stage in 2024 to pay tribute to the legendary Doris Day.

The world lost one of its biggest stars with the passing of Doris Day. A legend of stage, screen and song, Doris died aged 97, leaving behind an incredible body of work, including iconic movies and unforgettable songs.

Doris Day, the girl next door, had millions of fans around the world, none bigger than chart-topping Australian singer songwriter Melinda Schneider, who has recorded two albums of Doris songs, co-written and starred in a theatre show based on Doris life, and done sell-out tours celebrating Doris work.

Melinda Schneiders, A Farewell To Doris, is a heartfelt tribute to Doris Day. This nostalgic concert celebration will include such timeless hits as Que Sera, Sera, Sentimental Journey, Everybody Loves a Lover and Secret Love plus classic songs from the movies Calamity Jane, Love Me or Leave Me and The Pajama Game, as well as a number of Doris big band standards.

Melindas love affair with Doris Day started when she saw Calamity Jane when she was just eight. I thought she was the best of everything a woman can be, and when I grew up I wanted to be just like her, Melinda says. Whenever I revisit some of her old movies, Im transported back to that place, a place of happiness and pure joy.

She has decided to send Snowy away, to get rid of her, once and for all.The Magic Mirror has warned The Queen this is a huge mistake Snowy is beautiful on the inside and the outside- everyone loves her. The Queen isnt listening and orders The Hunter from the Palace to take Snowy into the forest and leave her there forever! Meanwhile, the Cool Dudes have decided its time they started making healthier food choices and doing some exercise.

During this interactive production, kids will enjoy the opportunity of role-play as they are invited on stage to become a variety of characters- including The Cool Dudes- that love to rap! The off-stage action continues with singing and dancing for the rest of the audience.

*As with every Jally Entertainment show, the clever messages are suggested via the script, in a bright, colourful and fun fashion, complete with a full production set, costumes and stage props, which can be adapted to suit your stage / performance area.
